Greetings!!  My name is Alissa Gerent and I am a Reading Teacher at Ocean City Intermediate School.  I teach a Just Words class and also offer ‘push in’ support to 4th and 5th grade teachers using the Read Naturally program.  My goal is to foster a love of reading into children through engaging meaningful activities, which will lead to improved reading and literacy skills.

I utilize the Just Words programs to teach students word structure, which provides the necessary skills to read and spell both accurately and fluently.  I also use the Read Naturally program to offer students additional opportunities to improve their fluency and apply the reading skills that they are learning.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, comments or concerns.

Happy Reading!!  :-)
